Churro-Snickerdoodle Sticks with Dulce de leche. Dipping makes dessert more fun!

Ingredients

DULCE DE LECHE

  • 4 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
Preparation

Dulce de leche:
1. Heat heavy cream over low to medium heat in large saucepan with high sides. Add sugar when cream warms and mix slowly.

2. Slowly add baking soda and stir until dissolved.

3. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer. Reduce mixture, stirring often, about an 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and salt.

4. Transfer to a clean bowl. Whisk and refrigerate until cooled.

Final Prep Instructions: Carefully cut cookie into square strips. Cut long strips in half for easy handling. Serve with Dulce de leche, chocolate and/or caramel syrup.
